The Star Plus show, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ created a stir when it was launched five years ago. The show went on to become a cult show, with a successful run of five years and is still cherished, even after having gone off air last year.
However, even before the fans of the show could feel saddened about it, the makers had ‘good news’, when they announce the sequel to the show, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum 2.’
The casting process of the show has been going on in full force and an array of actors have been roped in to play pivotal roles in the sequel.
And it is only ‘more and more good news’ we have for you today.
According to a leading news portal, the timeslot for ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum 2’ may just have been finalised.
‘Naamkarann’, which replaced ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ has been under the scanner recently owing to its dwindling ratings and several controversies.
There have also been rumours about how Mahesh Bhatt’s show is set to go off-air soon. And it seems that it is finally happening, as per sources. According to sources, ‘Naamkarann’ may soon go off-air by the end of February or early March.
And this also means that ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum 2’ may get its original timeslot of 9 p.m. back.
The cast of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum 2’ includes Avinesh Rekhi, Mayank Arora, Sadiya Siddiqui and Rhea Sharma in lead roles. Reprising their roles from season 1 will be actors Neelu Vaghela, Kanika Maheshwari and Ashok Lokhande.
