EXCLUSIVE! Sucheta Khanna on her character in Woh To Hai Albelaa: My friends and family are liking it but the real test happens when the audience starts liking Indrani’s character

MUMBAI: Popular TV actress Sucheta Khanna is currently seen in Rajan Shahi’s show Woh To Hai Albelaa.

The show recently hit the small screens and is working wonders.

The makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the viewers hooked to the screen with interesting twists and turns in the story.

Woh To Hai Albelaa has a stellar star cast of Shaheer Sheikh, Hiba Nawab, Anuj Sachdeva, Kinshuk Vaidya who are seen in pivotal roles.

The show also has Sucheta Khanna, Mehul Buch, Somesh Agarwal, Nayan Bhatt, Pallavi Pradhan who are seen in pivotal roles.

Actors like Vaishnavi Ganatra and Rachie Sharma are also seen in the drama series.

Sucheta is seen playing the role of Indrani Sharma who is Hiba aka Sayuri’s mother.

Business Credits got in touch with Sucheta who spoke about her character and much more.

Indrani’s role gives a strong message of woman empowerment. What are your thoughts on the same?

My character Indrani used to be very confident at one point in time. She would talk about women’s empowerment, freedom, rights of women and a lot of things. She had her good going. Suddenly, a tragedy struck when she lost her husband and her whole world came crashing down. She went through a financial crisis and then she had to start her entire life from scratch. She had to take care of her three daughters and mother-in-law. They all now support each other. It’s not important for a man to be there in a woman’s life but it is about the support system that a woman gets. Her entire journey is about being confident to in-confident and how she brings back the same confidence in her life.

What kind of response are you getting for your role in the show?

It’s been just a few days since the show premiered. There is already a buzz about the show. So, I know that a lot of people know about this show. And obviously, with trends, family, colleagues who have shared about me being a part of this show, all of them are watching it and like me. They say I am looking very different and I am playing a very different character. Everyone is liking it, but the real test happens when the audience starts liking Indrani’s character.

Tell us about your experience working with the show’s star cast.

The star cast is superb. Nayan ji is a veteran actor who has a theatre background. She is a wonderful friend, actor and a beautiful lady. I worked with Hiba in Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai. Vaishnavi and Rachie are new but they are learning fast. When we shoot together, we land up being like a family. Pallavi is another fine actor and I get to learn a lot from her. Mehul and Pallavi both are wonderful people.

I have never worked with Shaheer but whatever work I have seen in the show, I feel he is a very natural actor.

Anuj is like a bhola bhandari and is a very funny person in real life. He pulls everyone’s leg on the sets and vice versa.

Kinshuk is very sweet and is a wonderful boy.

Sucheta Khanna has previously starred in shows like Gharana, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Kadvee Khattee Meethi, Karamchand (Season 2), Hari Mirchi Lal Mirchi, Lapataganj, Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Shrimaan Shrimati Phir Se, Excuse Me Maadam, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, among others.

She has also done a couple of films in Hindi as well as the South Indian industry.
